Cass Psychotherapy offers therapy for adults and couples who are ready to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and move toward meaningful change.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a supportive space to slow down, process what you are carrying, and better understand the patterns that may be impacting your emotional well-being.

This may be a good fit if you are navigating:
  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Stress or burnout

  • Grief and loss

  • Trauma

  • Attachment wounds

  • Life transitions

  • Relationship patterns

  • Women’s mental health

  • Pregnancy, postpartum, or parenting-related changes

  • Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself

In individual therapy, Sarahbeth works collaboratively with clients to support insight, emotional clarity, healthier coping, and meaningful movement forward.

Couples Therapy

The Gottman Method is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy that helps partners understand their patterns, communicate more clearly, and work through conflict in a more productive way.

Couples often seek Gottman Method therapy when they are experiencing:

  • Recurring conflict that never feels fully resolved

  • Communication patterns that lead to defensiveness, criticism, or withdrawal

  • Emotional distance or feeling more like roommates than partners

  • Resentment that has built over time

  • Difficulty repairing after arguments

  • Feeling unheard, dismissed, or misunderstood

  • Loss of trust after betrayal or disconnection

  • Strain from life transitions, parenting, work stress, or major changes

  • A desire to better understand the relationship and create healthier patterns

More About Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Couples work begins with a 4 session structured assessment process designed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman.

The process is completed in four parts:

1. Joint Intake Session

We start with both partners together to review concerns, relationship history, and current concerns.   Following this session, each partner completes standardized assessments through the Gottman Relationship Builder, which provides additional insight into strengths and areas of strain.

2. Individual Session – Partner One

Each partner meets individually for a biopsychosocial assessment. This allows space to explore personal history, stressors, and perspectives that may be harder to access in a joint setting.

3. Individual Session – Partner Two

The same individual assessment is completed with the second partner, ensuring both experiences are fully understood and considered.

4. Feedback Session & Treatment Plan

We come back together to review key themes, patterns, and dynamics identified throughout the assessment process. From there, a clear, structured plan is outlined to guide the work moving forward.

Anxiety, Stress, and Overwhelm

Anxiety can show up as overthinking, worry, perfectionism, irritability, people-pleasing, difficulty resting, or feeling like your mind never fully turns off.

Therapy can help you better understand your anxiety, identify triggers and patterns, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress with more clarity and self-compassion.

Depression, Grief, and Life Transitions

Life changes, grief, identity shifts, and seasons of uncertainty can leave you feeling disconnected, low, or unsure of what comes next.

Therapy offers space to process these experiences honestly while supporting you in reconnecting with yourself, your values, and your next steps.

Trauma and Attachment Work

Past experiences can shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how safe we feel in the world.

Trauma and attachment-focused work can help clients better understand protective patterns, relationship dynamics, emotional responses, and the ways the past may still be showing up in the present.

Women’s Mental Health & Perinatal Support

Cass Psychotherapy supports women navigating the emotional complexity of different seasons of life, including pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, identity shifts, relationship changes, stress, and emotional overwhelm.

Therapy can provide a supportive place to process what you are experiencing while making space for your needs, your voice, and your healing.

Workplace Communication Consultation

Cass Psychotherapy offers workplace consultations to improve communication, reduce tension, and create healthier patterns of working together.

This service begins with an assessment of needs to better understand the communication concerns, relational patterns, and areas of stress within the workplace. From there, a customized recommendation may be provided, including the option for a focused workshop on communication, boundaries, and repair at work.

This service is not therapy for employees and does not replace HR, legal, or organizational consulting. It is a relationship-informed consultation designed to help workplaces function with more clarity, accountability, and respect.

Start with a consultation.

The first step is reaching out through the secure SimplePractice portal. From there, you can share more about what you are looking for and learn more about next steps.
